MBPN offers a Resource List for families who have experienced Perinatal or Infant death. This listing has been compiled by the recently formed Central New York Perinatal and Infant Bereavement Network (CNY-PIBN), a group of professionals and community members committed to providing the best possible care and support to bereaved families in the Central New York region. They formed the CNY-PIBN in 2005 after recognizing that we needed a central organization and coordinating group to integrate the collective efforts of many.

Bereaved Parent Group

Broome County Chapter of the Compassionate Friends. Open to anyone dealing with loss caused by death of their child. Located At Nimmonsburg United Methodist Church, 918 Upper Front Street, Binghamton, NY, across from BCC. Date and time are 1st Monday of every month at 7 p.m., unless it conflicts with a holiday, and the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. There is no charge, and no pre-registration required for Monday meetings. UHS Perinatal, Infant & Child Loss Support Group

UHS offers a free, weekly support group for parents who have experienced a miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, neonatal death, or the death of a young child up to 2 years old. You are not alone in the experience of mourning. Returning to the patterns of your life, by sharing your experience with others, can help to bring hope, support and comfort. Registration is required. The first class will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 6:00pm-7:30pm and will then move to Wednesdays from 6:00pm-7:30pm

“Grief Work” Support Group

Meetings are held every Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. year round, at 300 Main Street, Vestal NY. A donation hat is passed at support group meetings. Please call first to register.
